Go to Nero and you'll see that Nero7 Premium or Essentials does have BluRay and Econders use but not Ultra. This is PREMIUM.

Clean out as much of your REGISTRY as you can of Nero8. When you run the installer overwrite the serial w/ the one in the HowTo.

When I try to install this, it says that a .cab file is missing. Maybe it is a corrupt DL. I will try again and let you know.

Make sure you clean out as much of the old Nero installs as you can.
I actually went to run "regedit" and deleted all the nero folders I could find in each area like HKEY CLASS ROOT HKEY USER so on.

ok, I cleaned the registry of all nero stuff. Re-downloaded the file, but it still says that the 8898977B.cab file is missing.

I don't know how I could click on the installer in the wrong way. I get the error while the installer is running not when I am trying to put in serials or keys. It does not get that fer.

That could very well be. Charter is not exactly the best ISP, but out where I live, it is that or satellite (not goin there).

There is about a chance in hell someone will ever get a NERO 8 to work.
I have opened up so many dll's to try and edit things but that version must get a response from home server. A new keygen will not work.
If somebody can get to a purchased version and copy the dll's and look inside then maybe.

I use Vuze (formerly Azureus) for my torrents. The encryption on it is pretty good, and I have not had any traffic limiting problems since I switched to it.

That causes some problems w/ people here. Maybe try again? This is the only version 7 or 8 that has HD/BluRay/DTS and stays working currently because it's a premium not Ultra.
There is an 8 that has an unconfirmed serial activator but nobody has said it stays working yet. May not know 4 sure for 2 weeks.

Why not use uTorrent?
It is IMO the best. More options you can control.
If you install it go to Windows firewall and add another port after clicking random port and adding that #. Having 2 ports open gives you a better speed as well.

I tried Utorrent before, but I had ISP traffic throttling issues even with encryption enabled. I could give it another try though maybe.
Then you have an ISP that is actively trying to stop torrents.
You can set Forced Encryption in uTorrent.
Also those interested the ipod/mp3 program is in this version and missing from the 8 version.
I want to thank those who help seed. I still see no need in trying the 8 series since this does all the same things, since they are unlocked, without the BS like ess feeds. Nero has become 10 lbs. shit in a 5lb. bag.

I downloaded Utorrent and tried downloading the file again. The first time, I could not even open up the zip file, so I un-tweaked some of the program settings (I made em a little aggressive) and it downloaded fine the 2nd time around.
I was able to install it also, and am trying it out now. Thanks for upping this FITW.

Shut off all the update features. There is one more plugin number on page one if you want it.

You must use the .txt serials. The one that may first appear is a leftover from an old install.

Downloaded. No virus. The problem is, I can't seem to be able to burn a video dvd. you know.. Taking an AVI file and making menus and such. i did not install the full program. only those I thought I needed. I'll try again.

I downloaded Nero 7, and installed the files, when I tried running it a window popped up telling me it wasnt compatible with Vista. I thought, "sure, I´ll just delete it and get Nero 8".
I got N8 (for short) and tried removing N7, but, it didnt work. I tried for like an hour with different things and then resorted to removing all the files manually.
I cant re-install it, I can uninstall it, and I cant replace N7 with N8 cause I have a file called "Nero BackItUp" on my harddrive that I dont know how to remove.
Anyone that know what to do?

2. Or another way: Start>run, type "msconfig" and delete nero 7 and all it's components from startup (it's very easy in vista. You will see). Then reboot & delete all Nero files that you want.
3. You can use "system restore" on date, when nero was not on your PC. On vista it's work 100% effective, but I think it's such a crazy method =)

I dowload it, no virus. but the serial number was too old (it dident work)
I would kill for an actual KEYGEN that works...Anyone out there got one. I have tried this one multiple time with no luck
Would appreciate if someone could seed this... TPB says 9 seeders, but I've been attempting to download now for about 30-40 minutes and the pool says its empty, all the while I was able to download other unrelated material in the meanwhile.
